Product Description
The Sharp Plasmacluster™ Ion Air Purifier with True HEPA Filter effectively reduces pollen, dust, pet dander, smoke, germs, bacteria, viruses, odors, mold, and fungus in your living space. There is a three-stage filter system including a micro-mesh pre-filter, washable activated carbon filter, and long-life True HEPA filter, which captures 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns from the air that passes through it. Patented Plasmacluster Ion Technology disperses positively and negatively charged ions throughout the room to safely break down microorganisms and odors (even those trapped in fabric, carpeting, and drapery!). It is an ideal solution for allergy sufferers, asthmatics, pet owners, and smokers, and best used in a bedroom, living room, study, or exercise room. There are 3 manual fan speeds. The unit has LibraryQuiet™ operation (as quiet as 23 decibels, or the sound of rustling leaves) and is ENERGY STAR® rated, so you can run the unit continuously while saving money and energy.

Breathe-yep, it works!

Seems cigars are making a comeback. Well, now that the weather is nice, my smoking guy and his buddy, once a week, sit right by the window where the smoke migrates right into the bedroom.Ah, nothing quite as nice as the smell of a good cigar, right? Sure, until it is time for bed and the entire room reeks of stale cigar and my husband smells like a wet dog that has been left outside with mange.To the rescue! This thing removed ALL the cigar smell within about an hour. It is amazingly quiet! My daughter decided she wanted it in her room the next night- Well, young lady, if you did your laundry, your room would smell better- Oh Mother...Lo and behold, her room did smell better even with all the dirty laundry on the floor. I don't know how this thing does it, but it works. The filter only needs to be replaced every two years according to the instructions, so it is cost effective, too.It is quite a bit bigger than I expected; however, the results are amazing. I had planned on buying one of those small $50 models. I am so glad I bought this. I can literally smell my neighbor two houses away light up a cigarette- with an acute sense of smell, it can be a blessing (like if the pilot light was out on the furnace) or a curse when there are smells that make it hard to breathe. This really does remove odor and make the air easier to breathe.

I bought this since I moved to new house by the woods that I expect good amount of pollens during spring. I was wondering if the Plasma Cluster really works as they advertize. My worry has gone away in a week. The Sharp is doing very good in refreshing the air and filtering out the dust or pollen so that I stopped sneazing or coughing during midnight that had been bothering much. I really like this product and would recommend to anyone who is suffering from allergy symptom caused by dust or pollen.

It's a good air purifier

I bought this air purifier because there was moldy air in my room.My family caught cold with cough and runny nose but I think that we got better after bought this.It's pretty light, so it's easy to handle.However, it should've had automatic sensor and worked automatically.If I would know that there are air purifiers with auto sensor, I would buy that.Anyway, I'm satisfied with this a.p.
