What is the difference between a Shock Treatment Ozone Generator (ours) and Ozone Air Purifiers? Some air purifier vendors will state that they're ozone air purifiers can "treat" up to 3500 sq ft. What they really mean is that their machines will "freshen the air" in areas up to 3500 sq ft. Ozone air purifiers can't perform "ozone shock treatments", and to be honest, that's the only approved function for an ozone generator. To PERMANENTLY remove odors, you need to perform your ozone SHOCK TREATMENT with at least 1000 mg/h of ozone per 100 sq ft. This is the ratio used by odor remediation contractors like Servepro and others. 1000 milligrams of ozone per 100 sq ft will create an ozone concentration so high that it only takes a few hours to permanently remove any odor, even skunk. This is crucial because prolonged exposure times to high ozone (24 hrs) is problematic to petro based substrates. Why doesn't our "basic build" ozone generator have a case? Several reasons. One, shock treatments are only performed in unoccupied areas. Secondly, heat destroys ozone. The open design helps keep the plate cooler than closed units. Thirdly, save money. Fourthly, easier to clean-up. The plate needs to be wiped down after each use, difficult if you have to remove 12 tiny screws. We also pride ourselves in making a product that is designed to last a lifetime. I know this is a novel concept, given that most things today are made cheap and disposable in order to keep the factories abroad churning out products, but we don't own a factory in China so why should we care? We purposely omitted "prone to fail parts" in our machines (timers, switches, mother boards) because ozone will destroy those parts in shot time. I have rented very expensive ozone generators for mold remediation. This great simple product does the same job for less than the cost of one rental. Works as well as the expensive machines and it's simple to repair should it ever need it. I highly recommend this product.Revision to my original review.The element for this machine lasted only 6 weeks. It was used 9 times for 4-5 hours each.Something else to be aware of:As of May 7, 2012 you can only order the spare parts from their website. They only offer free shipping through USPS. There is no way to upgrade shipping so you cannot expedite parts if your machine quits on you in the middle of something.Revision 05/14/2012My Spares finally arrived. They are different from the original part, but can be easily adapted.This is a good machine and a good value.

Phenomenal and Powerful Ozone Machine. Works perfectly. Eliminated the stale smoke odor. I had a stove fire that filled my house with smoke and left a lingering smoke smell. Scrubbed from ceiling to floor with little benefit. For several weeks my place smelled like a heavy-smoker's house. Then I discovered that smoke/fire restoration experts use ozone generators. I ran the machine for an hour while I was out of the house. What a huge difference. This ozone generator eliminated the stale smoke odor completely. Absolutely the best $99 I ever spent.

Thinking about selling my car but I smoke it in everywhere i go, and no one wants to buy a car that smells like smoke, specially if i trade it they will give me less because of that. I clean the car out every week, vacuum it, but the smoke smell remains, did my research and found out about ozone generators and how they are great for taking care of odors, so looked around for a cheap one or thought about renting one but found this great product.stuck in the car for an hour and aired it out over night, cause it does leave an ozone smell behind for a few days, and just for fun i continued to smoke in it, had a friend say it smelled like a new car smell which i guess is good, but for the money and having tested it out in the car its worth it, i have a house full of animals so now i know it will help with pet odors toogood investment
