Mildew & Mold Magic

I have had extremely good luck with this product and specifically it transformed an old damp bathroom into a livable space again. The issue with the bathroom is a lack of ventilation, moisture, and old dry wall which resulted in black mold, mildew, and a funky smell in the last room in the house that needs help in that department. Long story short after seeing the gel at my local marine shop I figured why not try it and I've never looked back. 6 months later the mold is dead and I was able to clean it up, the mildew went away, and most pleasing of all there is no odor. That in fact is probably my favorite thing about this product it does not mask odors with another smell and you know it is working because you don't even notice it. My only complaint is that the jar once open has limited options on how much of the product is exposed to the air with the fixed vent holes. I'd love to see an adjustable top so you can regulate how quickly the product is used/exposed to air but that is a minor point and solved by using some tape over two of the five holes in my case. Highly recommended product and worth the money when matched with the appropriate sized space.

My husband and I own a condo on a ski mountain in Vermont. The condo is closed up most of the year, which happens to be the hottest, wettest time of the year. In 2011 Vermont experienced a very wet Spring plus a deluge from Hurricane Irene in late August. When we arrived at the condo in November it had a stale musty odor. I immediately had problems breathing and with my sinuses being clogged every day. The condo basement was a mess with mold and mildew everywhere (walls, rugs, furniture, bedding). It was the worst we'd ever seen.After I thoroughly cleaned EVERYTHING - walls, woodwork, rugs, furniture, linens (etc) and got things as dry as I could I placed an 8 oz Kanberra gel in the room and a 2 oz jar in an adjoining bathroom. I put the Kanberra gel in def-con mode as suggested in the instructions, taking the lid off the jar for 4-5 days. I opened all the bureau drawers and closets. It didn't happen overnight, but within a week the condo basement had no smell at all. The musty smell in the condo was gone. My sinuses cleared up and my breathing improved. I put a 2 oz Kanberra gel in the bathroom on the main level and it worked eliminating a mildew smell that arose when the shower wall was wet.Best of all Kanberra gel has no odor of it's own. It's not one of those products that masks odors, it really is eliminating them. You would never know we had any issue with mold and mildew. I plan to keep Kanberra gel in the condo year-round. I would HIGHLY recommend this product.Also a shout-out to DBC Marine. I've ordered Kanberra gel from them two times and their service has been great with very speedy delivery.

not impresive

I put 3 4oz in my 49 sailboat and left them for a week when I came back there was no diference in smell on my boat.I consider the product over priced.
