Neutralizes offensive odors.

Bought a used car that smelled like citronella and applied SO2Pure which neutralized most of the odor. Worked better than several others that I tried before buying it.

I found this product while searching for a way to remove smoke smell from a used vehicle I purchased last fall (2001 Jeep Cherokee). The Jeep certainly had a smoker in it before we picked it up. Not being a smoker myself, I wanted to get rid of the odor. Google searching lead me to detailing and diy-detailing forums where this item kept popping up. People were pretty happy with the results, and it didn't seem to have any nasty cleanup requirements that you might get from an "odor bomb". The cost was pretty cheap as well, so I didn't feel bad taking the risk.After receiving the item (and grumbling about how small the bottle was), I went to work spraying the crap out of the Jeep. I focused on the headliner, seats, and vents. I then followed up with a terry cloth to wipe off excess product. I was careful to avoid windows. The next step was to leave the thing out in the sun, as the product requires ultraviolet radiation in order to activate. At first I wasn't impressed, the smell had diminished, but it was still noticeable. After about three weeks I had forgotten about the product and the smell! I was very happy. After about three months or so, the smell has gone away completely. I'm not sure if the Jeep will need another application in a year or so, but I'm pretty happy at this point. It may have trouble tackling tougher odor issues, but it's worked great so far.The only downsides to the product that I've found are: - a sticky residue that hangs around for a day or two (until the product dries and forms its barrier) - a chemical odor that took a week or two to go away
