Product Description
The NaturoPure™ 300E with 5 stages of air purification incorporates a full size HEPA filter, activated carbon filter, Anti-bacterial pre-filter, Air ionizer and a germicidal UV lamp at such a modest price. With a powerful, quiet fan the purifier covers 500 ft². Air Purification Technologies include: Air Ionizer • Effectively removes particulate from the air, such as allergens (including mold and dust mites), fine dust particles, bacteria, viruses, chemical fumes and other ultra-fine particles that a filter cannot capture. Has the ability to remove airborne particles away from the air purifier, in areas of the room where the filter has little effect. This is due to the fact that ions can circulate throughout a room. Negative ion circulation is enhanced as a result of the fan. Hepa Air Filter: • Removes 99.97% of particles (.3 microns in size) that pass through the filter, preventing them from becoming into the air again. Largely considered the most effective type of air filter. Captures a high volume of floating dust and other particles, including many of the ionized particles that would otherwise just settle to the ground if a typical ionizer were used. Germicidal UV Light • UV (ultraviolet) light is scientifically proven to destroy a large variety of microbial contaminates, such as viruses, germs, bacteria and fungi (including mold). Activated Carbon Air Filter • Specializes in capturing and neutralizing chemicals, gases, odors and cigarette smoke, which the Hepa filter cannot capture. Anti-Bacterial Pre-Filter • Preserves the life of other filters. The pre-filter captures the larger particles, so more pores can remain available in the activated carbon and HEPA air filters for the harder-to-remove pollutants.

Unusually good product

I have two different models of this air filter. We bought one and used it. Then, we bought another unit. They run 24x7 in my house because some family members have allergies and we have multiple pets. I've had no problems at all. The noise level is quite tolerable to us, even with one sitting right behind the sofa. One thing I have to remember to do is turn them on again after a power failure. However, that's a safety feature and I don't want most electrical appliances coming on automatically after a power outage. The big advantage to this brand is that the air filters last longer and are easy to change. In addition, the controls allow the user to select the combination of features he wants to use.

This unit performs as advertised. I have a room with a moldy smell and 24 hours after using this unit the room smelled fresh. My allergies also lessened and I was able to wake in the morning without a stopped up nose. For the money this is an excellent buy.

Pet Allergies

My boyfriend and I purchased this air purifier because it was the only one within our price range that also covered the amount of space we needed. My boyfriend is allergic to cats, but we decided to adopt one anyway. With a combination of claritin, this air purifier, visine, and a small plant (to offset the ionizer), he's had very mild reactions to our sweet new kitty.Pros:-On/off switch for ionizer, which can release ozone (toxic). We bought a small plant to offset the ionizer, but we rarely turn it on.-3 speed settngs.-Good for open apartments or large rooms. Our open area is nearly 500sq.ft.-HEPA filter, great to pick up allergens like pet dander.Cons:- highest setting gets a little loud sometimes.- releases cool air. If we purchased this in the summer, I'd probably list it as a pro.
