quiet operation

So far, this unit seems to be working, though it seems to emit ozone rather than ions. I have an ion testor from another ionizer I bought, and this unit doesn't register any ions in the air around the outside of the body.

Pictures are deceiving, as I thought this unit would be larger - but this is my fault as it says 12" right there in the product description. In spite of being so small, it was a very effective air purifier for the few days that it functioned. It is cheaply made, and I'm guessing it has gone through manufacturing cost reductions. I say this because the instructions describe how to clean the filter, but the unit, while looking the same, opens completely differently than how the instructions describe.The power switch does not function well, as the contacts inside clearly don't match up well - the power light comes on, but you can hear if the ion unit is working or not (it hisses), and after a couple days it would turn the light on, but would not actually function. So back to Amazon it goes. I'm going to try a GT50 this time around, even if it costs more. When these things work, they are so wonderful!

Undamaged packaging, but unit appears WELL USED, with numerous scratch's and scrapes. Parts were also broken on/off it and unit was NON-WORKING. Power supply was/is functional, but also looks used. It appears that someone took the new one out of the package and replaced it with this well used, non-working, broken unit. I'm 100% disabled and on a fixed income. I can't afford to waste money on used, broken, non-working junk. Hate being so negative, but facts are facts, and this unit had a rough life somewhere, when it was working and in one piece.
