Product Description
This filter is larger than it needs to be for your machine in order to fit most portable air purifier models. It takes less than five minutes to change; just trim the filter with scissors to match your existing pre-filter size. Lower cost replacement for part #38002 and #30901 For best results, change pre-filter every 1 to 3 months

Universal Charcoal Pre-filter replacements

This are okay for generic replacement filters albeit one needs to trim and cut them down to size which sort of wastes pieces of filter which cannot really be used for anything else. These are definitely not Honeywell replacement brand filters as they are somewhat thinner.... but since they get changed every 3 months, its not a major issue. It would be nice if Amazon could strike a deal with Honeywell and sell the original brand replacements in some sort of bulk purchase as I would have preferred the original brand (OEM)replacement filters... but as they are sold individually, they are not a good bargain for the price for something that gets changed every 3 months.

Bulk Filter (Replacement Carbon Pre-filter) #38002 /HRF-AP1November 05, 2011:Purchased one carbon pre-filter big sheet to cut into smaller fit sizes.To replace carbon pre-filters in two Hamilton Beach 04163 TrueAir HEPA + UV Air Purifiers.Works fine and I have material left.I am washing these pre-filters with warm water and mild soap every other month.And vacuum cleaning them every two weeks.These carbon pre-fiters are thicker than the original Hamilton Beach 04163 carbon pre-filters.Will last forever.
