DeepDiscountsCo Was Selling This Item on Amazon

Depending on the vendor, this item may or may not be the real deal. Amazon was using vendor, DeepDiscountsCo, when I made my purchase in December 2012. The item was priced at $5, down from $27.The first filter DeepDiscountsCo sent was wrapped loose in a grey plastic bag - no label, nothing. It did not fit Bissell Healthy Home 5770. I read a few other reviews & others had the same problem. DeepDiscountsCo kept sending them out, though. DeepDiscountsCo has called my phone number 6 times. They've called me as recently as February, telling me to delete my review.'Deep' eventually rectified the situation by purchasing the *real* item here on Amazon from EnviroCare called Bissell Style 15 HEPA Filter Cartrige, 3282 for Bissell Healthy Home Uprights. To be safe, I suggest you skip this listing & purchase the EnviroCare product in the first place. We have a Bissell Healthy Home 5770 vacuum and this was the filter (3282 HEPA) part in it. It was immediately obvious when we tried to replace the Bissell filter that came with our vacuum with the one purchased on Amazon.com that this was NOT the same filter. Design aside, it took a great deal of force to make the filter even fit into the vacuum. I decided to try it anyway and I could immediately smell the dust blowing from our vacuum. We had just completed a construction project, so the container of the vacuum had a good two inches of drywall dust/debris. When I had vacuumed with the original filter, no smell, no dust. With the new filter, instantly could smell and tell the dust was being blow out from the filter spot. In fact, when I bent down to investigate, I started sneezing right away. I find it highly doubtful that this is a HEPA filter if it is letting dry wall dust blow out through it. Took the 'new' filter out to put the original one back in and smell/dust stopped. Am upset that I wasted my money on this product. Very disappointed.
