Works excellent, great price

I looked over many different choices for HEPA air purifiers before purchasing this one. It works very well. I could feel a difference after one evening of using it on high and then turned it to medium as recommended. The high setting is a little loud, but I can't even hear it on medium. It's perfect for night time use. I have indoor allergies and once everything in the house is closed up for the winter I am a mess. This has kept me from having to go to a doctor for allergy medication which I am very happy about as I would prefer to tackle the problem at the source, not cover it up and drug myself unecessarily. I also feel the need to add that the other reviewer shouldn't give this product one star because they can't find the filter...

I bought this filter about a year ago for my seasonal and indoor pet allergies and it's amazing! I keep it in my bedroom on level 1 all night and always wake up allergy free and never itchy or stuffed up. I've used it to clear out Black Mold in the Fall and Winter, and grass/tree pollen during the Spring and Summer. Love it!!

Very Good at Reducing Stuffy Nose!

We purchased this air filter, HAP9240 about a year ago to begin purifying the air in my room. Dust is a common problem as well as pet dander.The device is simple and easy to use. It has a "change the filter" reminder button, but I do not use it. Instead I just put on my calendar when the filter needs replacing, which can be every 4-6 months. I can tell when the device is not as effective because the filter needs changing.There are three speeds (low, medium, high) and an off on the dial. The noise is moderate and does not bother me while I sleep, nor does the noise inhibit me from sleeping. This purifier takes Aer 1 filters, and there are a few to choose from. I found a lower price at Walmart.com and went there instead of paying twice the price on Amazon. Shop around.The purifier does not completely remove my stuffy nose. It does, however relieve some pressure, clears both of my nostrils for breathing at night, and makes the air feel fresher when I walk into the room. It isn't the end all, be all utopia of allergy free living, and despite what reports say- it does allow me to sleep at night a lot easier.I had a lot of beefs waking up with an itchy or stopped up nose with sinus pressure. The purifier, for the price does a good job and I am happy we purchased it.
