Product Description

The Oreck OptiMax™ 95 HEPA-type, medium room air purifier provides cleaning power and filtration in a compact, easy to use, durable system. The HEPA-type filter captures 99% of dust, allergens, pet dander, pollen and smoke at 1 micron from the air that passes through the filter. The odor filter reduces many household odors from the air that passes through its filter. With the touch of a button, you can adjust the speed controls and indicator lights remind you when to change the filters. Its high performance fan provides superior noise reduction for everyday living, including Silence Technology® when set on low. The OptiMax™ Air Purifier has a Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of 152 for use in rooms up to 235 square feet. It features 3 speeds: low, medium and high, and a timer you can set for 2, 4, or 8 hours. The Air Revitalizer is designed to run continuously but can be turned off at the push of a button; it provides additional air freshness via the release of negative ions. It comes with a 3-year limited warranty*** and is ENERGY STAR® qualified.

Great for Pet Odors!

I love this Oreck purifier!! I have 3 cats and 3 dogs. One of my dogs is very old and another is a puppy, they both have accidents on my wood floors. My house started smelling like a kennel, even after mopping. After I started running the Oreck 24 hrs. a day, there is such as difference, not even a slight odor in the air (Even after the house has been closed up all day long and I come home to little puddles). It's very attractive and quiet on the lowest setting, and thats all I need to reduce the the odor in my large open plan living room/dining room. My sister loves how it worked in my house and purchased one and placed it next to her daughter's rat cage, what a difference this product has made for those of us who live with our animal friends!

Silent success!

I've needed something to make it possible for me to live in the same space with my new husband's beloved elderly cat, to whom I am quite allergic. The vet suggested this - and it's helped a great deal in the living/dining room, along with two of the small units in bedrooms. On slow speed, it's quiet enough that you don't know it's there. While allergy symptoms are not totally gone now, they're manageable. I know from my dusting that this cat is cranking out a lot of dander, and these units keep it down enough that we don't have to get to "it's me or the cat!" Thank you, Oreck!

Made a big difference in my office

Bought this unit after my doctor recommended I get an air purifier for my home office. Did the research, found this unit had all the right specs, and gave it a shot. I was very quickly able to tell the difference - air is fresh, less dust in the room, and my allergies have improved. It has 3 speeds - Low is very quiet (although not silent) and allows me to keep the unit on while I am using my speakerphone. High is pretty loud, so I normally switch it to high over night to get maximum refresh while I am not in there.Looks like the filters will last 6 months - so annual cost not including power will be $75~$85 dollars, which I am more than willing to pay since the unit is doing what it says it should.Considering adding a few more units around the house, which is as strong of an endorsement as I can make.
