With UV germicidal protection to reduce germs and permanent HEPA type filtration to purify the air, the Therapure 440 air purifier will greatly improve the air quality in your home, office or other environments. The Therapure 440 air purifier can be programmed to turn off after a preset amount of time. The clean filter indicator light will turn on each time the filter needs to be cleaned. Other features include three varying cleaning levels, electronic controls with digital LED display, and UV/VOC on/off button.

Where to start. Bought this guy at Costco recently, two of them actually. My experience with them has been refreshing. I'm actually pleased to use a product like this, makes me feel the company actually likes doing what they do :).Pros: design, super quiet at low speed, pretty darn quiet at medium, not really that loud at high speed.Seems to be efficient for its small size. Designed for up to 220sq.ft. Night time mode for button lighting.Cons: High speed setting vibrates noticeably on hardwood flooring, I suggest putting a piece of cushioning under it :).Conclusion: Does not vibrate in medium and low settings, only in High. Highly recommended, great value, would buy again.

i bought 2 of these air purifiers a couple months ago (now being March 14, 2013) to help clean & clear out the smell (& who knows what else) in my 92-year-old mother's 1-bedroom apartment. it's made such a great difference in helping rid 20 years' worth accumulated dust (yech) because mom (rest her soul) stopped dusting and vacuuming & refused to hire a weekly for the last 20 years of her life. (sigh) i read all the reviews of this purifier going back to the beginning & was very impressed to discover that the company actually pays appropriate attention to its customers' suggestions & changed the design so that the blue LED lights can be turned (almost) completely off for better sleeping. the only things i would change about it is not being able to wash the hepa filter and not being able to completely turn out the blue LEDs. i appreciate this purifier so much that i'm going to have 1 of them in each room of my new house. thank you, Therapure.!

I bought the 540 from Costco about a month ago. When I went onto the Envion website, it looks like they don't offer it anymore. That disturbs me and is why I only gave it 4 stars. I like longevity in a product!Having said that, I have found it to be a very effective dust and germ remover. Extremely dusty in my home, and where I put this unit, almost no dust appears. I bought it because suddenly after 65 years of no allergies, I was having trouble with breathing. After 2 days with this machine, no more troubles in breathing. Later, had a brief version of illness that most people were laid up for a week with. For me it was 24 hours and GONE! So I do recommend the 540.Pros: Top handle, air purifying is effective, easy to operate, can choose to use the UV setting or not, pretty quiet on low (for sleep), strong circulation for a small unitCons: slight whine no matter which setting, even with 'sleep' setting there is still a blue light on (I taped over it=problem solved)
