Product Description
Ideally designed for regular size rooms, the HF 200 is an incredibly effective air purifier which fills an entire room with health beneficial negative ions. Indoor air contains extremely low quantities of negative ions. Countryside air, in comparison, contains more than ten times the negative ions found in indoor air. Negative ions produced by the HF 200 purifier, bind with airborne pollutants removing them from the air and creating a fresh, clean and healthy environment. HOW IT WORKS: 1. The Electronically-Created Breeze Draws Pollutants into the Air Inlet. The negatively-charged pins and positively-charged dust collection plates create air flow, without the use of a fan. This air flow helps to draw air through the air inlet located at the top of the XJ-2000 air ionizer. 2. Pollutants are Magnetically Attached to the Electrostatically-Charged Plates. The negatively-charged pins give particles & pollutants a negative charge, which are then magnetically attracted to the positively-charged plates. Particles & pollutants then remain magnetically trapped on the stainless steel plates until wiped clean with a dry or damp cloth. 3. The Electronic Breeze Circulates the Purified and Ionized Air Through the Air Outlet. The electronic breeze pushes the purified air through the air outlet, or front grill of the XJ-2000 ionic air purifier. The negative ions produced by the negatively-charged pins (a.k.a. needlepoints) also emits negative ions into the air. 4. Negatively-Charged Pins Electronically Circulate Trillions of Air-Cleaning Negative Ions Throughout the Room. The high density of negative ions released into the air have the ability of circulating throughout the room, via natural air currents and the electrical reactivity of the ions. This enables the XJ-2000 air ionizer to remove particles & pollutants from the air, even if they are not drawn past the dust-collection plates.

The best and lasts many years

I bought three of these many years ago, don't remember exactly how many years but could be as many as ten, and they are still working just as well as they did when I first bought them. I just ordered another one for my truck.They WILL create dust as ionized particles stick to whatever is close to the ionizer. But hey, those are particles you otherwise would be breathing! Negative ionizers are especially important if you have a room with computer equipment and electric lights, which load the air with too many positively charged ions.Other ionizers look jazzier in the product photos but this is a compact, neat little unit that does a better job than some others I've had.What the ad copy doesn't say - an important omission - is that it comes with a DC adaptor for your car, a great idea if you are driving in auto exhaust much - and who isn't?

I have this in my bedroom to keep it fresh. The ionizer gives off a nice smell. It gives off negative ions thatopens the senses like a day after it rains. I have one I take to the gym and it takes out the stuffiness from the room. I have had these machines for years and would not like to be without it.

It stinks -- literally!

I am used to new equipment having some "new" chemical smell from the plastic and other materials. However, the odor from the Heaven Fresh HF 200 (BLACK COLOR) was completely overwhelming. It was like an open can of paint thinner. Even after having removed it from the box and leaving it on for several days (hoping that it would purify its own stink), it still smelled to high heaven. I suspect that the unusually strong odor was from the unusual type of finish which has a textured velvety feel to it. How ironic that an air purifier would make the home smell so bad. If the smell of paint doesn't bother you, it will probably be okay for you.UPDATE: I ordered the wood grain model to see if my intuition was right -- that the extremely strong chemical smell was from the unusual velvety finish (you can't tell from the picture) of the black colored model. It seems intuition was right. The wood grain model (which has a gloss finish) does not have the strongly offensive "paint thinner" smell and whatever "new smell" there was went away after a few days. The wood colored unit seems to work well.
