A refurbished Oreck DualMax is a pre-owned air purifier that has been refurbished, tested and certified by Oreck to look and work like new, unless otherwise noted on the product detail page. Every refurbished Oreck DualMax is backed by a full one-year limited warranty.

The DualMax™ Air Purifier features two fans that produce twice as much airflow as Oreck’s leading purifier. Oreck’s patented Truman Cell® captures dust, allergens, pollen, pet dander, and cigarette smoke from the air that passes through it, pulling them out of the air like a magnet. At the same time, the high-efficiency odor filter, the Helios Shield®, is working to reduce common household odors as well as chemical fumes such as paint smells, the gases put off from new rugs and furniture, aerosol vapors and cleaning supply odors from the air that passes through its filter. The dual fans then push cleaner, fresher air back out into the room.
The Oreck DualMax Air Purifier features our permanent Truman Cell® that never needs to be replaced. Simply wash with soap and water, rinse clean, let dry and then re-insert. The Helios Shield® odor filter is permanent as well (it doesn’t even come out of the unit) and the Helios Shield does not require any maintenance. Getting fresher, cleaner air has never been easier!

Very old model

I was extremely disappointed when I received this very large old model. I had purchased 2 machines about four months ago that we're half the size and loved them so much that I bought two additional ones as gifts. I felt mislead when I purchased this refurbished one and would never ever get another refurbished Oreck again.

Quiet, works great, big difference in air quality. Easily cleaned and the unit looks good too? I would buy another, needs no filters..

Nice conept, poor execution

This model looks nice, seems to do a decent job, but it lacks the finesse of similar models in this price bracket.It operates in a fixed direction and does not have the rotating ability of a $20 fan. This means that it is constantly moving air in a single direction. Coupled with its short extension cord, this often means its pulling air from corners or against walls.The three modes go from silent, to a a slight hum, to air force one touching down.
