Very Effective

These air fresheners are very impressive. We all know that charcoal absorbs impurities, but I guess I didn't expect so much from just a small cube of it. I use mine in the hall area where the furnace air-intake is situated. I realized that all the "stale" air in the house was passing through this area, so this would be a good spot to freshen things up before the air recirculated through the house. (Furnace filters catch dust, but they don't really do much for cooking odors, chemical impurities, and so forth.) So I just sat one of the little charcoal cubes on a shelf in the hall, and now the area always smells fresh. Another nice aspect of the cubes? They're covered in black fabric. This turns out to make them very unobtrusive ... they practically disappear into the background.

The air in a closet always smelled, for lack of a better words, old and dingy. Not horrible... just not fresh. I always let the closet air out and I used various, common air fresheners which really didn't do a good job... sure I could smell roses, but it was still old and dingy. So, I stuck one of these Bamboo cubes in the closet and I immediately noticed a difference. A month later... I still give the cut a "thumbs up". Now, when I open the closet doors, the smell is gone. You will not be blown away by any "fake" smells such as roses, lavender, or summer rain, that you get from your average air freshener. My closet now smells like "nothing"... the absence of all odors.This particular package came with two cubes. I placed the second cube in my car and had the same results. The packaging states that the cubes can be placed in the sunlight for a certain period of time to "recharge" the natural bamboo. I can't vouch for this just yet... I haven't had to do it because, so far, the cubes are doing their job.

Happy husband

We spent hundreds of dollars in air freshening products over the years due to my husband's acute sense of smell. After reading numerous articles on the powers of bamboo charcoal and researching various brands, I settled on these cubes. They were selected for two reasons: their bamboo charcoal content and their eye appeal. We were not disappointed on either count. My husband noticed a difference immediately (I have a poor sense of smell so I am not commenting here!).Although 2 are not enough to do an entire house, we found that one was sufficient for a small room. We have yet try the "rejuvenation" process of putting them in direct sunlight. We assume that this will be equally satisfactory.In short, we are happy with this product and intend to purchase more.
