Product Description

Pre-filter with active carbon - captures larger airborne particles and absorbs light smoke, odor-causing elements, and other organic compounds.

High-efficiency true hepa filter - air then moves through a TRUE High Efficiency Paticulate Air filter (TRUE HEPA) where it removes 99.97% of pollutant particles as small as 0.3 microns.

UV protection cover & LIGHT- air passing through the filters encountering UV-C germicidal light that radiates to neutralize and kill on contact harmful bacteria, germs, viruses, and other pathogens.

Built-in negative ion generator- built-in ionizer releases negative ions into the air capturing smaller particles. The result is you get fresh clean air breezing throughout your room.

Early impressions (will be updated)

I get pretty sinus allergies sometimes, but never as bad since I moved to the area I'm in now. What sucks about the allergy (to dust, pollen or something else, I don't know what) is that not only does it make breathing through my nose difficult during the day, but it also prevents me from getting a good night's sleep; I wake up a lot and am always tired during the day.I've never taken anything for them, and was just about to put myself on something, but decided to try this first since Amazon (for whatever reason) had decided to mark this down by about $200.6/15/2012 - Inital Impressions Out Of Box:I just got it today; easy to unpack and takes two minutes from box to power on. Does not include the two AAA batteries you need for the remote, so haven't tested that yet.Manually turned it on as soon as I could. Should note that the blown air smelled strongly of plastic when I first opened it. Stopped after about 20 minutes, so I'm going to chalk that up to typical 'new plastic appliance' smell. Otherwise, it's been running for about two hours now and health-wise, it already feels easier to breathe in my room. It is a little noisy (I've heard most are), but in a "white noise-rain falling" kind of way, so I could see myself falling asleep to the sound. Doesn't seem to be running hot or anything, so I'm probably going to leave it on overnight on low and check it in the morning.Supposedly you don't need to clean this thing more than once a month, but I'm going to check it at the end of this week, because it probably has a lot of garbage to process, I'll update this review some more when I do and again if anything changes after I've used this for a longer period of time.

Great air purifier

I am just a clean freak and I really like this air purifier. Works well for my living room which is fairly large. I have another air purifier in my room that I bought last year but I don't want move it in and out. The little remote control is handy, but it doesn't come with the battery. Definitely worth the buy for me.

I loved it so much I had to buy two! Easy to clean, and decently quiet. I reccomened for any pet owner! You'll be surprised what the thing sucks in!
