Truman Cell 6-Stage Filtration System Oreck has spent years developing the Truman Cell. This breakthrough technology can capture and kill many airborne allergens you might be breathing right now in your home. It can clean, freshen and circulate the air in a 600 sq. ft. area every hour, capturing many bacteria, mold, viruses, fungi, even cigarette smoke and other odors. Including those caused by pets, cooking and toxic chemical fumes such as paint smells and off gases from new rugs, which can contain formaldehyde, a carcinogen. It also helps remove many airborne allergens. It will do it quietly, thanks to Oreck's own Silence Technology, while using as little energy as an ordinary light bulb. Plus, unlike other purifiers, the Oreck XL doesn't require costly replacement filters. It has a permanent filter that is washable. Simply rinse the filter as often as you like and it's as good as new. Positive feeedback for Oreck Air Purifier

Our family has members including those with bad Asthma and Allergies requiring breathing treatments and oxygen. This will make the 4th Oreck Air Purifier we have purchased over at least 10 years. We have found reordering filters and cleaning them to be easy either direct to Oreck or our local Target.Timothy

This is my second refurbished oreck. It works just as good as the 2 brand new orecks I own and for alot less $. I bought this one for a relative for better sleep. The oreck on the high fan speed is quite loud and blocks out city traffic noise for a ggod nights sleep.

I have used this product for years. My old one lasted 12 years with some repairs and cell replacements. When I saw this reconditioned one at lower price I bought one. It was great so I bought another one. They are easy to clean and they work for cigar smoke. Also I run them on medium and they are very quite.
