These decorative bamboo charcoal air fresheners are made by heating bamboo in a kiln until all impurities are burned off, leaving only pure activated carbon in the natural shape of a bamboo stalk. They act as passive air filters, and improve your indoor air quality by absorbing and trapping contaminants that can cause odors, or aggravate allergies. Instead of covering up odors with perfumes, which actually worsen air quality by adding chemicals to the air while not eliminating the source of the odor, use these perfume free bamboo charcoal stalks which absorb and trap odors. These charcoal stalks can be used in any room of the house, just arrange a few in a vase, or break them up and display them in a decorative dish. The odor absorbing power of these charcoal stalks can be refreshed by putting them outside in bright direct sunlight once or twice a month. Charcoal has been used throughout Asia for centuries because people have noticed the health benefits of keeping decorative charcoal displays around the home. Bamboo charcoal has a surface area as high as 600 sq meters per gram, and is excellent at absorbing and trapping harmful substances from the air such as allergens, smoke, odors, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from fresh paint or carpet. Our bamboo charcoal is produced at extremely high temperatures to ensure purity, and maximal surface area. Bamboo charcoal naturally emits negative ions and far-infrared rays. I love the way the bamboo charcoal looks in my glass cylinder containers. I am not sure of the effectiveness but nonetheless I like the look!

Bamboo has appeal and it cleans the air

I've been struggling with multiple methods to keep my house smelling fresh. I have 2 dogs and a stuffy apartment. After getting these, I'm proud to say that I notice a slight difference in the quality of the air. It's not dramatic, but it is noticeable, and anything is better than what it used to smell like!
