Product Description
All metal frame filters have a 1/8" tolerance. The SILVER PATRIOT 94 is designed to provide the highest filtering efficiency available for the majority of furnaces and air conditioners. The 0.12 inch W.G. initial resistance of the SILVER PATRIOT 94 will perform best in systems configured with 1 square foot, or more, of filter area for each ton of air conditioning. Two layers of woven monofilament polypropylene with integral anti-microbial material provide 10 times more filtration than a disposable fiberglass filter. The deep loading center layer of non-woven polyester allows the SILVER PATRIOT 94 to prolong the time between washings. All custom size filters are sized as ordered and non-returnable. All standard size filters are undercut by 3/8" to allow space for typical installation. Note: The sizes listed below are standard sizes so the width and length are undercut by 3/8 inches and the depth is undercut by 1/8 inch to accommodate standard air system openings. ALL FILTERS ARE EXACTLY 7/8" IN DEPTH. Restricts air flow heavily

This air filter is well done, the problem is its density that decrease the airflow by good 40%. IF you have a smaller AC system or 2 story house, you will find out soon that this filter does cause much less cold air coming out and may even kill your whole AC system. I am exchanging mine for less dense - ask for 82% instead of 95% filter for better air flow.

House has less dust.

I received the filter on time. During shipment, the frame suffered a slight crimp. I straightened it and installed it. The fit is perfect.Haven't washed it yet. The house has less dust and the air smells better. I'm going to add some balsam oil to the corner after I wash it to scent the house for the holidays.

Damaged During Shipping

The filter I ordered was damaged during shipment. The frame was bent and it won't fit in the duct work. Seems to be a trend here...perhaps better packaging should be considered. Since yesterday I have sent 2 replacement inquires along with pictures of the damaged frame to AirCare. So far, they have not responded. I'm hoping for a speedy replacement. Thanks for the 82% Peak Arrest advice by FLConsumer.Update...I received the replacement filter and it is not correct. Strike 2 AirCare.
